Pollen is still being added from the male trees and its the busy time of pollinating the female flowers that will become the dates we harvest in August through December.
Varities still available at the date garden:
Medjool - 5 lb. boxes, plenty of 11 lb. boxes ranging from moist, soft, chewy, dry and the popular 15 lb. bargain box (not as pretty, still great for smoothies, milkshakes, baking or eating as is)
Barhi - 5 lb. boxes and 15 lb. boxes of smaller sized Barhi
Zahidi - 5 lb. boxes and a few 15 lb. boxes
Variety box in 5 lb. boxes, 2 sections Medjool, 1 section each of Zahidi and Barhi
This time of year we often sell from Alan's garage just south of our usual spot under the palms. Visitors are welcome to walk on the dirt lanes between the palms and take photos. It is always smart to wear tennis shoes or other closed footwear.
The 9 varieties we grow are Abbada, Amir Hajj, Barhi, Deglet Noor, Halawi, Khadrawi, Khalassa, Medjool and Zahidi.
All sales are final.
